Registry

We're registered at Friend (our favorite San Francisco housewares store; 415-552-1717 if our registry's not online yet), Sur La Table, Amazon, Restoration Hardware, and Crate and Barrel. Yes, six items per store is inefficient, but it turns out that's the only way we know how to look for things!

If you're not into that kind of present, you could also get us tickets for a baseball game or a play (can you guess who takes who to each of those?!) We're taking a fabulously long honeymoon till May 8, but we're in town after that.

We'll also think you're just as great if you get us something different, or nothing at all, or a promise to visit us Real Soon Now.

The background story on why we registered for such random stuff, including a board game and floor lamps: when we moved in together, we joined up two more-or-less complete sets of the usual household/kitchen things, including two toasters, four extremely dull cheese graters, and approximately six million spatulas provided by our respective Moms. We also live in a house with virtually no overhead lighting, so we've been on a quest for good lamps ever since we moved in. End result: we request no basic kitchen gadgets, toasters, or the Joy of [either one]. Anything else is fair game.
